I only ever watch one British sort - the Oxford/Cambridge boat race (I am a Cambridge supporter). So I definitely don't get involved in American sports!!

But Cambridge lost this years boat race!

Yes, I am a supporter, so was sad to see them lose the race, although technically they had cut into Oxford's water ... so when the clash happened they couldn't complain ( Read more... )

As most of you know I only watch one sporting event a year - the Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race.

This year, Cambridge, who I support, won.  However I am not as happy as you would expect.

The first half of the race was stunning - close faught and interesting.

As you might have guessed ... well if you know what I'm talking about ...  I'm a Cambridge supporter.

So for the 157th time, Oxford and Cambridge raced each other down the Thames ... and as you can see, Oxford won.

As you might of guessed I am a Cambridge supporter, and have been dissappointed the last 2 years.

What am I talking about .... Well The Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race  of course.

Mum is happy with me ... as is Tim, whereas Dad and Nick are still focussed on last years win!

I only watch TV on a Sunday very rarely - but don't ever miss The Boat Race .... An annual boat race along The Thames for teams from Oxford and Cambridge universities (More details of this years event Here .)

Today was the day ...

And Cambridge lost ... I still say they were cut-up by Oxford!!

Still - Cambridge is still winning 79:75!

Yes - Yesterday was the 154th annual boat race between Oxford University and Cambridge University.

The coarse is over 4miles and 374 yards with 8 man (and 1 cox) crews.

This year the Cambridge boat had 6 Britons, while the Oxford boat had 3 Britons. The rest of the crew were from Australia and The States, with one German.

Hurrah !!

As a child I was only ever brought up to see one sporting event a year - 
THE OXFORD - CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY BOAT RACE.

This year it was last Saturday - so I recorded it - and Cambridge won - having watched them almost sink last year I am really pleased - Yes that is the team I support.
